I’ve been an arts and features writer since 2009, with published work in The California Aggie, Palo Alto Weekly, Stanford News Service, LA STAGE Times and Voice Media Group’s alt-weeklies including The Village Voice and LA Weekly. I received an MA in Specialized Journalism-The Arts from USC in 2013 and a BA in English and Film Studies from UC Davis in 2011.
I am currently a writer at USC Shoah Foundation – The Institute for Visual History and Education.
Wherever I write, I am motivated by my lifelong passion for the arts, specifically film criticism, theater and pop culture. I’ve also been lucky enough to tell the stories of countless individuals who are doing fascinating things inside and outside the arts. I strive to make every piece I write, whether an article, column, or work of criticism, entertaining and accessible to all readers.
On this site you will find most of my published work as well as blog posts and pieces written for criticism courses at USC. Feel free to leave comments, agree, disagree – and join in the conversation!
